The DJIA is still hitting new highs almost every day; yet without any real major upside thrust. I still am very skeptical that we will reach 12,500 on a closing basis; but as in the case of 11,722 (the previous DJIA high) I can (and am) be wrong.

This is the first of our new weekly letters (or missives, if you prefer).
The DJIA appears to me to be topping and should top out before reaching 12,500. The initial correction will no doubt hold 11,000; the subsequent rally, is the issue. Will it exceed the previous high? I really do not think so.
